DESCRIPTION

Honor your love with this exquisite Ancona-Inspired Floral Ketubah, a stunning reimagining of the 1722 Italian ketubah from Ancona, housed in the Library of Congress Hebraic Section. Drawing inspiration from the intricate floral motifs and delicate hand-illustrated details of the original parchment document, this ketubah is a breathtaking blend of historical artistry and modern elegance.

Surrounded by a lush botanical border of vibrant flowers and songbirds, the ketubah embodies the beauty of nature and the timeless sanctity of love. The delicate archway design, adorned with a Star of David and Hebrew calligraphy, frames the sacred marriage vows, creating a piece that is both meaningful and visually striking.

Perfect for couples seeking a classic yet unique ketubah, this design honors Jewish heritage while allowing for personalized text and details. Whether displayed in your home as a cherished heirloom or signed beneath the chuppah, this ketubah is a testament to love, tradition, and artistic beauty.

ORDERING PROCESS

Step One: Choose Your Text

You’ll find a variety of beautiful text options [here]. I work closely with same-sex couples to adapt any text except the traditional Orthodox one, and I offer a specific version for non-binary couples. Want to use your own wording? You're welcome to; just note that Hebrew translation (if needed) is available for $50 and can be added to your cart [here]. Before finalizing your text, please check in with your officiant to make sure it aligns with their requirements.

Step Two: Share Your Details

During checkout, there's an area to add notes. Please provide both partners’ full names and parents’ names (in English and Hebrew, if available), as well as the city, date, and time of your ceremony. No Hebrew names? Not Jewish? That’s completely fine; I work with couples from all backgrounds and am honored to support you in marking this moment meaningfully.

Step Three: Review Your Draft

Keep an eye on your email or phone; I’ll reach out with any questions and send a draft for your review, usually within 24 hours. If you have a rabbi or cantor officiating, they’ll need to approve the final version. Once everyone’s happy, your ketubah is printed and shipped. Simple as that.

FRAMING AND PAPER

For Unframed Fine Art Paper Prints:

If you choose the unframed option for your personalized baby naming print, I select a thick, luxurious fine art paper. This paper is archival-grade and acid-free, specifically chosen to ensure a significantly longer print life compared to other papers. It provides a truly high-quality surface for showcasing brilliant colors and intricate details, allowing your print to genuinely shine.

For Framed Prints

I partner with a fine art print shop that uses solid wood frames with optical-grade clear acrylic.

The matboard is included and is a 4-ply white mat with an attractive bevel at 45 degrees. Other color mats are available - you can read more here.

The backing is kraft paper dust cover. All frames have a hanging wire attached.

Gold, Espresso, and Natural frames are .875" X 1.25"

Black, White, and Oak frames are 8.75" x 8.75"

Remember to factor in the size of the mat and the size of the frame if you are ordering your ketubah or print framed. This will ensure it will fit exactly how you imagined on your wall.

Additional frame colors and sizes are available for pricing on request.Everything you need to know about framing is found here.

  • I suggest ordering the ketubah two months before you need it, but I can do it in as little as two weeks (or even less).
  • All US orders have standard free shipping which will get your ketubah to you within two months of ordering it (but usually much much faster!).
  • If you order less than 30 days before you need the ketubah, you must pay the rush fee at checkout to prioritize your ketubah in my work load. The production rush fee is currently $50.
  • If you need the ketubah in less than two weeks, there is an additional fee (approximately $35 for unframed ketubot in the US) for rush shipping.
  • Exact tax and shipping costs for international or expedited shipping and production can be seen at checkout.
  • Unframed ketubot are shipped to you rolled in a protective cardboard tube. Please open it immediately and check it for damage or errors and contact me immediately if there is a problem.

RETURNS / REPRINTS

Our Commitment to Your Personalized Creation & Return Policy

Your ketubah is a deeply personal and unique work of art, meticulously crafted just for you. My aim is always for your complete satisfaction with your custom piece.

Personalized Items: Draft Approval & Final Sale Policy

Before your ketubah or personalized print is sent to production, you'll receive a detailed digital draft for your review. This is your special opportunity to look over everything carefully and request as many changes as you like until it's absolutely perfect.

Because each item is custom-made specifically for you based on your unique details and final approval, once you give your final approval for the draft and it moves into production, I am unable to offer refunds.

However, your peace of mind is incredibly important to me. In the rare event that your print arrives damaged, or if I've made an error in the text (which is highly unusual as I carefully proofread each piece!), I will, of course, provide a complimentary reprint to make it right for you.

Damages and Issues Upon Arrival

Please take a moment to carefully inspect your order as soon as it arrives. In the unlikely case that your item is received damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item, please contact me immediately with clear photos. This will allow me to quickly evaluate the issue and ensure a prompt resolution for you.

Non-Refundable Services

Please note that fees for rush production, shipping costs, customization fees (e.g., custom design fees), and translation fees are non-refundable, unless the error directly originated on my end.

European Union Customers: Your Right of Withdrawal

For merchandise being shipped into the European Union, you have a specific right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt, for any reason and without justification. This "cooling off period" applies even to personalized items under EU consumer law, and I fully respect this right.

Processing Your Refund (for EU Customers)

Once I confirm and approve your refund request for eligible European customers, your refund will be automatically processed and applied to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember that it can take some additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account. If more than 15 business days have passed since I approved your refund and you still haven't received it, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at [leah@leahrichman.com].
